Prenatal Care: One in Five Pregnant Women in Brazil Does Not Receive Recommended Minimum Care

Nearly all pregnant women in Brazil attend at least one prenatal appointment. However, one in five does not complete the minimum of seven visits recommended by the Ministry of Health since 2024 for adequate pregnancy monitoring. The ICEH has launched a new indicators page as part of the initiative to improve the documentation of the ICEH repository. It was designed to help users explore and better understand the full range of health indicators available across the ICEH repository which can be accessed through the ICEH Retriever.
