Expanding research capacity: new postdoctoral fellows join ICEH

The International Center for Equity in Health (ICEH) brings together a multidisciplinary team dedicated to producing evidence on health inequalities and inequities. The full team can be found at ICEH website

Since January 2026, the Center has welcomed three new postdoctoral researchers, further strengthening its analytical and scientific capacity.

Anderson dos Santos is an economist with a PhD in Development Economics from PUCRS. His research focuses on health economics, particularly on inequalities and inequities, socioeconomic mobility, and the evaluation of public policies.

Adriana Kramer is a nutritionist and epidemiologist with a research trajectory linked to the Pelotas Birth Cohort studies and international experience at Queen’s University Belfast. Her work focuses on sleep epidemiology, 24-hour movement behaviors, and maternal and child health.

Thais Martins is an epidemiologist working in public and collective health, with emphasis on violence, mental health, and biological and social determinants across the life course.

The addition of these researchers expands ICEH’s capacity in data analysis, scientific production, public policy evaluation, and research on the social determinants of health, reinforcing the Center’s commitment to advancing health equity in Brazil and globally.
