ICEH researcher presents on health inequalities at global maternal and newborn health conference

Luisa Arroyave, researcher at the International Center for Equity in Health, participated in the ongoing International Maternal Newborn Health Conference 2026 (IMNHC 2026) in Nairobi, Kenya.
As part of a side session convened by the Countdown to 2030 Initiative on building country capacity to analyze and use evidence to reduce maternal and newborn mortality and stillbirths, Luisa presented key multi-country findings on maternal and newborn health, focusing on health inequalities, women’s empowerment, and neonatal survival.
Her presentation contributed to the broader discussion on strengthening data-driven action to improve outcomes for women and newborns worldwide.
Additionally, she served as a panelist in the session on data use for policy, programmatic action, and accountability.
